Slutty Husband on St. James in Clinton Hill
clinton hill, nyc
ladies, here's a warning bout the man who drives the black F150...he's married with a baby. Last week we pulled up on him on myrtle ave, and he was hitting on emilia from his car. Then we realized he had a wedding ring on. ewwww! Then I was walking to the train a week later and along the way on St. James and Gates Ave I saw his parked car AND him with this wife and baby outside on their stoop. Damn cheaters....
Round Up of Eddie - My Brooklyn Renaissance Man
102 Dekalb Ave. Brooklyn, NYC
Eddie is my funny shoe repair man. I walk in and every time he says "hello hunny bunny." I love it.
He's a first generation immigrant from Russia and he lives in Birghton Beach. He has 2 grown kids. I hope he stays in business post-Ratnerization of Brooklyn. Eddie is not JUST a master Shoe Repair man, he also fixes watches, copies keys, sells and buys jewelry, sells used leather coats, knock-off sunglasses AND makes helium balloons. Eddie you are the true version of Brooklyn's Renaissance Man. Not only do you own your own business, but you take care of my soles and you've made all my keys from all the various apts I'ved lived in NYC. I also that everytime I say bye, you never say bye, you just say "You are a Good Girl." yes I am eddie, yes I am.
Veridiana at Union Sq. Round Up
Veridiana is one of my old students. She interned for me when she was 16 years old. I remember when I first met her, I related to everything she was going through. Perhaps that's why I love working with teenagers, b.c everything that I went through as a youth defines more or less who I am today. And if it wasn't for that one great high school teacher, Mr.Welch, who practically saved me from my own self-destruction and made me aware of my potential, I wouldn't know where I would be today.
What's also funny about Veridiana is that she is a NYC social service and non-profit queen! Before she interned for me, she was a student of Emilia's International Center for Photography Program at The Point CDC. I didn't know Emilia when I met Veridiana and I hadn't worked there yet. then I found out that Veridana was also a student at Citizen's Advice Buerau, a non-profit agency in the South Bronx. By that point, I was working for CAB as a media instructor. She is also interned at EVC and a Summer Search recipeint - all orgs I love and work with. So now that I've worked for The Point CDC and CAB, it'ss funny to note that Veridiana was once their youth client.
Veridiana is now 20 years old, a budding actress who just moved back from CA form a year of acting school. Go Veri!
