Circle Circus Ends at School 161 - I have succeeded

This is my last class at 161 - and after 4 weeks with them, this is what happens when I ask them to make a circle. Although they are not able to execute this task right away - you must keep in mind that it took 15 minutes to make a circle the first time I met them. For example at school 171, the brief recap is that I I had to draw a circle for them, and then i had to literally pull individual kids to sit next to me. I feel that I have accomplished a lot because they are able to make a circle in less then 1 minute. You can see that they still don't really respond at all when I ask them how they are doing - but if you notice they do respond when I speak to them directly - and they will say hello while looking at me in the eye!!!! Like when I say hi to Webster - he says hi back and looks at me while doing it - he even adds some hand motion! This is BIG FOLKS!!! The first week they wouldn't say hi back to me, and when I explained to them should say hi back - they would look away or down when they would say hi back. After 4 weeks of my subversive communication goals, I feel like I have succeeded - and that at least there are some kids out of the billions in China who understand the concept of the circle.
