Times Weddings by the Numbers

2005_08_28_nyt_weddings.jpgTimes Weddings by the Numbers:

Ok Folks - it's Wedding Season in NYC - check out the recap from the Weddings/Celebrations in the Times. Everywhere you go in NY - you can't avoid happy the celebrations. Am I evil for wondering what 60% of those weddings will end up in a divorce - that is the current divorce rate in America. Well for this month - I think I personally have only been invited to 2 weddings - the only 2 all year! Kenyatta has been asked to officiate weddings now - since he is an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. He's performing his friend's wedding this month - so if you need a minister - call on him - his calendar is available and he won't charge $500!

Butterfly Alphabet

butterflies_typing.jpgButterfly Alphabet:I just found this on Kevin Kelly's site, it's letters found on butterfly wings! This Swedish photographer spent a few years finding all the letters, and these are all frames from real live butterflies.
2 questions:
1. Why do they Swedes always have so much time to do fun nonsensical things that always add so much depth to our lives? They came up with the zipper! Imagine life with only buttons...
2. I wonder when he's going to tackle looking for the Arabic alphabet on Butterflies.
