Cowboy Boots In the Summer Fashion NoNo

So I've been obvserving a disturbing trend in NY - cowboy boots with skirts in 100degree weather.

All the reasons why this is wrong:
1. If you're not a cowboy - why the hell would you wear cowboy boots in 100degree weather.
2. you're not on a farm - so why the hell would you wear cowboy boots in 100 degree weahter?
3. Pairing it with a skirt is 1 mammoth oxymoron - in 100 degree weather!

I think you all get what I am trying to say - when the weather is hot - why wear hot things? I know bad fashion exits, but bad fashion that is impractical is just unpardonable.

NYC's IInebriated MTA Workers Swear by Smirnoff

So does anyone find it odd that the propinquity of these 2 ads make it look like 1 Ad that implies NYC's best don't mime, juggle or do standup - they DRINK Smirnoff. Hmmmmm....

Emilia's First Trader Joes Experience!

So I finally persuaded Emilia to go to Trader Joes- NYC doesn't have one so the closest one is all the way in the country of Long Island. We're in the car back to NYC right now stuck in traffic with other back from Hampton folks. But we feel more superior b.c instead of a weekend with smug NYC rich Hamptonites, we just spent $150 on 1 mth of groceries-that's a better high than coke!

Trader Joes in Hewitt - the country of Long Island New York!

Some people dream of going to every continent, having sex in every state, living in all the big cities -but I aspire to go to every Trader Joes in the world! So here is the running list of all the Trader Joes I have been to: CA: Los Angeles, San Diego's Pacific Beach/Hillcrest/La Jolla, Santa Monica, Roseville; New Jersey: Westville, Wayne. I have been calling Trader Joes to add a store in Brooklyn - but I now that I think about it I don't think they could handle the sheer number of New Yorkers who would go crazy for their prices. New Yorkers will dessicate the store in 1 day and they wouldn't be able to keep up with the demand! Plus I think New Yorkers would turn the effusive Trader Joes employess into waspish staffers - so I am sorta glad they aren't here.
