Tricia's Beach: No Water! No Sun!

I love the beach!! It's what I miss most living in NY. My friends think I am a weirdo b.c I love going to the beach but I hate sun and water. I have indoctorinated since I was young that sun causes skin cancer. So I keep my face covered and usually have an ginormous umbrella to keep me shaded. Today I will allow my body to get sun since I rarely am at the beach. About the water: I can't swim and the waters are so polluted. So why do I love the beach? The sound of waves and the vastness of the ocean calms me. I look at the ocean and meditate. So here I am in San Diego by myself at the beach with no one to laugh at me!

Beach Day!

I have never been to Coronoda Beach in San Diego. I've been to all the other beaches, but I usually don't come here b.c it's on an island and somewhat of hassle to get so south and cross the bridge. It's so interesting here b.c this isn't the typical beach experience I am used to. The sand is white, soft waves roll, creshes crash lightly into the sand, children making castles......then overhead VOOOOOOROOOOOOMMMKKKKKERRRRRRRRRRRR. That's the sound of the airfighter jets overhead landing on the Navy Base that is at the end of the beach. I took this picture when the plane flew over me and covered the entire sun. It gets so close that I can see the landing wheels and interior engine! You could throw a ball and the easily hit the plane! Ok, back to my attempt of relaxing to the waves- I guess the F-16's can also be the sound of large waves?
