I just had a very NYC moment. I just stepped off the plane from a redeye and I was standing in the luggage carousel while appreciating the 'hues of humanity' (quoting gabe), when this guy came up to this woman who was just about to spend $3 on a cart, and he husltles his cart to her for $2! I just looked at the woman and I said "there's always a hustle in New York." she said "ummm hmmm child and it's nice to be back." there's just a nyc energy that this moment really captures.

Pretty Bay Bridge

This week is the 100th Anniversary of the big 1906 quake that razed the city. Feels a little weird to cross the bridge right now. I just remember when I was 9yrs old and we has just moved out of the bay area when the quake happened that split the bat bridge I half and this car was dangling....it fell into the ocean.

2nd Ave, F Train

after jakey went to Bodies Exhibition, we met with Prerana at Anthology Film Archives and went to Haveli for drinks and Indian-Bengali food. We managed to get seats outside on the first warm saturday in nyc! Usually there is looooong line for outdoor seats. After a bottle of wine Kenyatta stopped by on his bike. K went home, Prerana went back to Anthology's Alwan Film Festival, and we went for more food! Jakey and I headed straight for Cloister Cafe and finished the night off with cappacino, warm milk and tiramissu. I love nyc nights with friends!!!

u could tell they just bought the i-Pod in the pink iskin and he was showing it off to his girl. They r sharing white headphones. She was looking at his demo as if it was the first time she had seen it, but then she got fusterated at the song he chose and she snatched it from him. She picked a song and they both must have liked it b.c they both started bopping to the same rhythm. Ipod love....
