I'm standing outside waiting for Melinda at SOB's Latin Hip-Hop and Reggaeton Showcase to see our friend LA BRUJA perform. Of course all these shows have a 30 to 1 ratio of men to women. So I am wondering why I have counted 6 guys out here drinking Red Bull. It's only 10pm! Hmmm lots of guys on low-grade speed worried me a bit. Oh well I'm hyped to see LA BRUJA and I'm not on speed.

Here on the QTrain and I spot this subway advertisement for NYC Police Force. Michael Yi is proud to be a member.

This reminds me of my only direct encounter with an NYC cop. He was Asian. I had accidentally walked into the steel doors as someone was walking out without swiping my metro card. I was approached by him and he said that he was going to gave me a $300 ticket. I importuned him to let me go-of course with a sweet, innocent simper. He said ok-then proceeded to ask if I had a boyfriend. I stalled and said ohhhh why? He then asked me out on a date....and miracously the 2 train flew into the station and I said SORRY I have to get on!

From this day on I swear that every Asian cop I see is him. Maybe it is that same Michael Yil on the Qtrain ad.

This can't be possible! this is the 3rd picture in 1 week and this time there are 2 Summer Cowboys boots next to each other! The propinquity of this is no coincidence.
