Try to Find Your Bike

I am obsessed with taking pictures of bicycles. I think it's because the bicyle is one of the last remanants of what mass transportation has been like here for hundreds of years. it's also my own Americaness here - since we don't use bicyles for daily trans- it's nostalgic and also interesting to watch so many people bike while this city is the largest and fastest market for new car purchases. I don't think it's crazy for me to predict that bikes may become a rarity with the increase in cars and subway lines in 10 years. Or it may become one of those class signifiers - those with cars or haves, and those with bikes are have-nots. Those who can buy drinkable water are haves, those who can't are have-nots. Those who can afford healthcare are haves, those who can't have-nots.
