Chinatown is almost officially dead. Fishion Accupressure raised their price from $35 to $40 per hr. 18 Arhans is way past the days of $5 dishes. Shanghai Joes isn't worth the lines in the summer and plus the quality of their food goes down when toursists increase. I love WAMU Bank but they ripped out tiny stores to build it. And they used 9-11 money to build the god aweful Chinatown tourist kiosk on Walker and Canal. Chinatown will be officially dead once a 2nd Starbucks opens. Flushing is where's its at folks.

they had this post guiliana when there was a crackdown in Chinatown - before you could sell LV/Coco chanel/prada copies out on the streets - now the police arrest you for that. So that' why when you walk through chinatown you have people saying "prada gucci" underneath their breath hoping that you will say "show me!"
