Since I live on the Diplomatic Compounds - I can access certain websites that others in China can't - like BBC, CNN, My BLOGSPOT SITE. I was able to access all these until yesterday - well I can still get BBC. So it's been a little difficult trying to get online - my e-mail was completely blocked for several days - where I couldn't even check my e-mail through the webserver or proxy servers!!! Now that's weird. This all started happening when the army guard in front of the compounds started checking my passport - and I've been here for one week and this was the first time they started asking. Not sure if this is all tied together - but it seems a little weird.
